The Three-Color Desert Camouflage (DCU) was developed for the U.S. Armed Forces in the early 1990s, replacing the six-color "chocolate chip" pattern. Featuring dark brown, pale green, and beige, it provided effective concealment in arid environments and was widely used during the Gulf War. By the late 2000s, the DCU was phased out in favor of modern patterns like the Army Combat Uniform (ACU) with UCP and later OCP.
The Three-Color Desert Camo (DCU) was developed for the U.S. Armed Forces and features dark brown, tan, and beige for effective concealment in arid environments.
