Made to order
Nothing is printed before it is bought. Production begins after the order is placed, which is why orders take two to four business days to process — and why no garment is made for a customer who never arrives.
Where the waste is
Fig. 01 · 100-unit runA conventional run is printed to a forecast. Whatever the forecast gets wrong is dead stock — discounted, warehoused, or destroyed. Move the demand figure and compare the two methods.
The loop

- Print The pattern is printed to the panel for that order only.
- Assemble Cut and sewn in the size run ordered — 2–4 business days.
- Despatch Tracked from Toronto; a tracking email follows.
- Wear The garment does the job it was cut for.
- Care Cold wash, line dry. The print and the seams both last longer.
In practice
Print bed to washPanels are printed per order, so ink and fabric are committed only against a sale. Off-cuts from the cut layout are the main material loss and are kept as small as the pattern layout allows.
Placement varies slightly from piece to piece depending on the cut and print layout. Photos show the overall pattern, colour balance and garment style to expect — small variation is a property of the method, not a fault.
Follow the care label. Washing cold and line drying preserves the printed pattern and the garment's shape; a piece kept in use for years is the only genuinely low-impact outcome.
Sizing that misses is a produced garment nobody wears, so the size charts are published per garment. If a piece is wrong, return it through servicefile.concealingcoloration.com and reorder the size once the return is accepted.
Orders ship in the smallest protective packaging that survives transit, and are consolidated where an order allows. Freight from Toronto is tracked; duties and import fees depend on destination.
What this is not
Stated plainlyMade-to-order removes dead stock. It does not make a garment climate-neutral: printing, freight and packaging all carry a cost, and none of it is offset. No certification is claimed here. The most useful thing anyone can do with a garment is keep wearing it.
