The Leibermuster Camo was developed by Germany in 1945 during the final stages of World War II. Featuring a bold, irregular overlay of black printed over brown, dark green, and pale green, it was designed to offer effective concealment in woodland and urban settings. A pioneering innovation of Leibermuster was its incorporation of infrared-reflective pigments—one of the earliest attempts to counter infrared detection technology.
