Camouflage record
DCU
The DCU Camo, also known as the Desert Camouflage Uniform (DCU) and sometimes colloquially nicknamed “Coffee Stain,” was developed for use by the United States Armed Forces. This pattern features a combination of dark brown, pale green, and beige, providing effective concealment in arid environments. Introduced in the early 1990s, it replaced the earlier six-color “chocolate chip” pattern and saw extensive use during the Gulf War and in subsequent desert operations. The DCU was designed to blend seamlessly with the varied terrain of desert landscapes, offering improved camouflage for troops in these settings.
